Dr. Cathleen Brown, fondly known as “Dr. Cat,” is a board-certified Obstetrics and Gynecology physician and Medical Director at Winona, where she provides expert, evidence-based menopause care through a patient-centered approach. With a career spanning military service, hospital-based medicine, and telehealth leadership, Dr. Brown is dedicated to empowering women with the knowledge, support, and personalized treatment strategies needed to navigate menopause with confidence and clarity.
Dr. Brown earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM) on a full academic scholarship from the United States Army and completed her OB/GYN residency at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. She served 12 years on active duty in the U.S. Army, providing comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care to service members and their families. She currently practices as an OB/GYN Laborist at Jefferson Abington Hospital in the Philadelphia suburbs, where she is actively involved in inpatient care and the training of future OB/GYN physicians.
At Winona, Dr. Brown serves as Medical Director and Medical Reviewer, playing a key role in shaping menopause education and care delivery. She regularly educates patients through monthly webinars, medical journal content, and podcasts, including The Menopause Hour with Winona.
She is a 2025 Menopause Society Certified Practitioner and is deeply committed to improving women’s health outcomes through compassionate care, education, and individualized hormone therapy. Outside of medicine, Dr. Brown is a proud single mother of three and enjoys gardening, attending concerts, learning new languages, traveling, and spending time with her children.
